Fall Events in New Smyrna Beach, FL: Your 2026 Local Guide

Fall in New Smyrna Beach doesn't look like fall anywhere else — and that's exactly why we love it. The crowds thin out, the water is still warm enough to swim in, and the town fills up with festivals, art shows, and community traditions that make this one of the best times of year to be a local. Whether you're a longtime NSB resident or just thinking about making the move, here's what's happening around town this fall.

Coastal Catch Restaurant Month in New Smyrna Beach (All of October)

Every October, New Smyrna Beach's top restaurants roll out special menus and dishes for Coastal Catch Restaurant Month. It's the perfect excuse to finally try that spot you've been meaning to check out, or to rediscover an old favorite. Grab a friend, make a list, and work your way down Flagler Avenue and Canal Street one plate at a time.

The Great NSB Pumpkin Hunt on Flagler Avenue (October 1–31)

Families, this one's for you. Pick up a map along Flagler Avenue and spend the month hunting for pumpkins hidden in shop windows up and down the street. It's a low-key, kid-friendly way to get into the Halloween spirit without the crowds of a big festival, and it gives you a reason to explore local businesses at your own pace all month long.

Wine Walk on Flagler Avenue (Monthly)

If you haven't done a Progressive Wine Tasting on Flagler yet, fall is a great time to start. Grab a tasting passport and glass, then stroll from shop to shop sampling wines poured by local businesses along the avenue. It happens most months, so check the current schedule before you plan your evening.

Biketoberfest in the Daytona/New Smyrna Area (October 15–18, 2026)

Bike Week's laid-back fall cousin brings four days of motorcycles, live music, and vendor markets to the Daytona/New Smyrna area. Even if you're not riding, the energy along the coast during Biketoberfest weekend is worth experiencing at least once — just plan ahead if you need to get around town, since traffic and parking get busy.

Holiday Art Markets on Flagler Avenue (November)

As the weather cools into what passes for "sweater season" around here, Flagler Avenue transforms into an outdoor gallery. Look for the annual holiday art show featuring dozens of local and regional artists and crafters selling handmade gifts, coastal-inspired décor, and one-of-a-kind finds — a great way to knock out some early holiday shopping while supporting local makers. Exact dates shift year to year, so keep an eye on the local events calendar as November approaches.

Why We Love Fall in New Smyrna Beach

Beyond the festivals, fall is simply a beautiful time to be outside in New Smyrna Beach. Mornings are calm and cool enough for paddleboarding or kayaking on the Indian River Lagoon, the beach is far less crowded, and the water is still warm enough for a swim or a surf session. It's the season locals quietly look forward to all year.
